Soothing Flowers Salve Kit

Calendula • Rose • Lavender

Overview

The Soothing Flowers Salve Kit was created for those wanting to take their first steps into making herbal remedies at home.

This gentle blend brings together three beautiful flowers—calendula, rose, and lavender—traditionally used in herbal preparations for their soothing, calming, and skin-supportive qualities.

Everything has been thoughtfully gathered for you, from the dried herbs and beeswax to the amber infusion jar and cheesecloth. All you need to add is your favorite carrier oil, such as olive oil.

It’s a simple, hands-on way to learn the process of creating an herbal-infused oil and turning it into your very own salve.

What’s Included

• 1.3 oz (37 g) dried herbal blend — Calendula, rose & lavender
• 1 oz beeswax
• 8 oz amber glass jar
• Cheesecloth for straining
• Step-by-step instructions

Just add your own oil!

Each kit makes approximately 8–10 oz of finished herbal salve, depending on your final preparation.

Why This Blend (Ingredient Spotlight)

Calendula (Calendula officinalis) – One of my favorite herbs for skin preparations. Calendula has a long history of traditional use in herbal oils, balms, and salves and is especially loved for its soothing and skin-supportive qualities.

Rose (Rosa spp.) – A gentle, beautiful addition to topical preparations. Rose has traditionally been used for its soothing qualities and brings a soft floral element to the blend.

Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) – A familiar apothecary herb traditionally used in skin preparations for its calming and soothing qualities. It also gives the finished salve its lovely herbal-floral aroma.

Together, these three flowers create a beautiful all-purpose blend and a wonderful place to begin learning the art of herbal salve making.

How to Make Your Salve

Add Oil: Pour your choice of carrier oil into the amber jar, fully covering the herbs. Olive oil works beautifully.

Infuse: Seal the jar and allow the herbs to infuse for approximately 4 weeks in a warm place, giving the jar a gentle shake whenever you remember.

For a quicker method, the herbs can be gently warmed in oil for approximately 12 hours.

Strain: Strain the herbs from the finished infused oil using the included cheesecloth. Keep your beautiful herbal-infused oil.

Melt: Using a double boiler, gently warm:

• 1 cup infused herbal oil
• 1 oz beeswax

Stir until the beeswax is completely melted.

Pour & Set: Pour into your own tins or jars and allow the salve to cool completely before covering.

Makes Approximately

One kit makes approximately 8–10 oz of finished salve.

Keep it for your own home apothecary, divide it among several smaller tins, or make a few to share with friends and family.

Suggested Uses

Use your finished salve as an everyday topical balm for dry or weather-exposed skin, hands, elbows, cuticles, or anywhere your skin could use a little extra care.

This kit is also a wonderful hands-on introduction to herbal oil infusions and traditional salve making.

Storage

Store the finished salve in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

For best quality, use within 6–12 months.

Safety & Considerations

For external use only.

Patch test your finished salve on a small area of skin before wider use, especially if you have sensitive skin or known plant allergies.

Do not use if irritation or sensitivity occurs.
